if it's a private sale and no paper work agreement on warranty it's automatically a sold as is condition sale. after you buy the car it's all you you can't go back and sue the seller even if u do u will loose.
OMFG! This has got to take the cake in the catugory of beyond stupid law suits. You were the one that screwed up. Not the previous owner. If you blew the motor, it's your damn fault. Like Russianwonder32 said, you should have made sure it was a good car before you bought it.
I bought a car and had to spend damn near $1000 fixing it to get it up to-date maintance wise and I didn't make the dealership pay for it. I wanted to, but I didn't cause it was my fault I didn't take it to a mechanic to have it inspected. Now, STFU, man up to your screw-up, and stop wasting other peoples vauleable time and money.

Good luck. Just curious how long did you have the car for, before the motor blew?

Oh yeah, I'm sure he conspired against you so you would give him money and then you would be out of a car within the month. Tell us how the motor blew and we might stop making fun of you. Until then, your suit is beyond retarded.

Here's your advice...dont waste your time and money on a lawyer...no offense but I think I would have checked the f**kin oil in the car when inspecting it, even if to only see if it would need an oil change soon. I dont think your gonna have much ground for a lawsuit here buddy....sounds like it's your mistake
Hello, i am a judge on my spare time. How exactly do you say this motor "blew up"? Did you sign any legal paper work saying that if anything happens that you could bring it back to him? Was this done on his property, before the car even touched the street?

We know what you want to do. Not trying to be an ***, but "no oil" was most likely your fault or no ones fault. A car without oil dies alot quicker then a month. Take the car to honda and have them check it. They may be able to tell you who fault it was.

And how was the motor blown? What caused it?

You drove a car without oil for almost thirty days?????? Now you are trying to sue the previous owner for not dislcosing he sold you a car without oil..........
I don't think you have a leg to stand on bro..... Did the oil leak out while you were driving it? Not putting oil in it wouldn't have made it run better so you would buy it..... It just doesn't make sense. If it was a ls-vtec and you dogged it for a month I could see it burning some oil, thats normal....
Good luck wasting your money on trying to sue the guy.. Unless you have some super consumer f--- the seller laws in your state..

Now why would you ever drive a car with little to no oil? Why didnt you put oil in it?
Ive watched plenty of court TV to know what a judge will say. You do have a small chance, but its not big enough if its more then 1 day of ownership. No oil in a car is neglect, and thats souly on you. Sorry dude, nothing you could do. If your lucky and the guy is cool, he wont counter sue for wasting his time. If it was me i would counter-sue for wasting my time, take that car back and your money.
