Default Preping for the drags! Opening Week for us midwest guys

taking out the h22 civic again this year, this will be my third time going with the H22. The best i ever ran... sad to say but 14.6, my bro was running 14.4 when he drove it. i havent done any mods ever since, was gonna do an ITB setup but im selling it now. Speaking of mods, the only things done are I/H/E, your basic bolt on's. your probably wondering why i would go with no mods done to it, well im trying to work on my 60' times cuz i can only get 2.3s on my aziens. well enough with the talk.. lets prep heres a list to do before going to the track

1. Check tire pressure
2. Check oil levels
3. Clean your babe so shes spotless
4. Bring some sockets incase of any loose exhaust bolts come off or you want to gut her out
5. Vid camera to bring back some vids for us ht guys
6. Last but not lease take a $hit before you go... less weight that is.... heheheheh

am i missing anything?

the track is pretty shitty because its full of rubber. Ls1's were getting low 14s and srt4s were all over the 14s. A guy with a srt4 with slicks was only pulling 2.1s with a 13.4??? saw a nice EJ8 with a gsr motor run constant 14 flats with a 2.1 60' on bfgoodrich drag radials. Im gonna get a pair of drag radials and go with a few friends from work. Supercharged 5.0 as lt1 ws-6... cant wait!!!

How is the inspections at great lakes ? I hear its not that bad, but I really hate to travel all the way there and get turned away. How in detailed do they get with like battery boxes and kill switches.

Sure, if they knew what that those things do. Just have a battery tie down and don't drip any fluids in front of them. Otherwise, run what you brung!

*But, if you're going to compete, then they might check up on you a little closer.*

Its tied down, but right now not to the frame. It has about 1/2 inch of steel for a tie down I custom made, think it would pass ?

u should be good on that battery, last summer my buddy passed tech by duct taping cardboard to the firewall of his chevelle, he was missing a heater box or something. That was on a street night. That place is so much fun.

I've never had anyone at GLD tech ask me to pop my hood. They make sure I have shoes on and pants, that's about it.
