Intake whistle????? WTF
yah i just installed an intake in my civic and its makin wierd noises...wen i idle it makes a whistling sound coming from the filter...wtf is it..did i do somethin wrong...plz help ne one

It's not due to an increase in air, the sound was there before, it's just now it isn't muffled by the intake.
The whistling sound is the sound of the air going through the two holes just before the throttle body, I have heard of strategically placing something before the holes and disrupting the airflow and stopping the whistle. Sounds like way more trouble than it's worth.

Thank you... someone who knows what their talking about. Didn't you ever wonder why Honda puts all those stupid plastic boxes, tubes and baffles all over the stock air system? It's to muffle the all the noises that you are hearing now. They put resonators and mufflers on the exhaust system for the same reason.
