Default Best Value/Reliability/Performance for 110V Mig Welder

I have used many different models on many different tasks and have my own opinions. I would like to see what other people like or dislike.
Have at it fabricators

Miller makes a great one, but for the money, Hobart is a better value....yet still just as dependable.

I love my Miller 135. Plenty of juice to weld just about any automotive thing youll need (some thicker materials obviously need multiple passes). Its never skipped a beat for me.

Its Clarke!

And I have one and would def buy another one! Mine had a problem which appears to have been my fault. (bad wire connection) and they AIRMAILED ME a new one! Next day I had it, and they included the tab to send the old one back.

You dont get that service from Lincoln.. I cant speak about miller/hobart!

But My tig welder stands a good chance of being a clarke!

My new welder is a Clarke MIG130E, and I love it. I thought I was just a terrible welder until I threw out my old crappy welder and starting making perfect beads with this one!

I just saw that northern tool has clarkes.. Sounds like they are giving the US made ones a run for the money! And they are not made in china

sounds like most people seem to like the clarkes. i did some reading on the unit and it sounds pretty basic, and has a great warranty, and a great price tag.
I am leaning towards the Hobart. has anybody had a bad experience with it? doesn't the hobart use the same transformer as the lincoln or miller, or is it made by one of them, anybody know?

They may be giving the Harbor Freight machines a run for their money, but I don't think they are anything more than second class when compared to Miller, Lincoln, and Hobart. There's a reason they're so cheap....and it's not cause they're just nice people and don't like making as much profits as the big brands.
