cermaic or stainless
ceramic: if you want to buy a new header every year or so (so i hear)
stainless: if you want to buy a header once and never again, also no need to worrie about cracking.

Stainless steel headers also produce much more heat than the ceramic coated headers. They also usually discolor especially if you get finger prints on them. When they heat up…I believe it will discolor around the areas you handled it….so clean them off very well after you’re done handling them.
The bad thing about ceramic is that they tend not to last as long….But will usually last for more than a year…I’d give them 2 to 3 years. Again, it depends on the quality of header you buy…so buy from a respected name.
In the end they both have their pros and cons.

Just like all DC headers you can get it in either ceramic or stainless. I would think that stainless would be better for NOS because of its greater resistance to heat cracking and rust than mild steel. The best solution would be stainless with some sort of coating like jet hot.
