when i converted my car to manual, i put in a clutchmaster stage 3. it was and is still working fine. at first it didn't make any noise and now it sounds just like there are birds chirping in my tranny? it will do it when the clutch isn't depressed and midway through it it is slightly louder and the pitch corresponds to the rpm's but the noise goes away when depressed all the way. the sound is not loud or annoying and is not a harsh sound but i was just wondering what it could be? would that be something with the throw out bearing? thanks for any advise techys.
Sounds like the Throw out bearing could use a little grease on the input shaft... I wouldn't worry about it... Mine clacks around slightly when I'm idling... If it worries you, putt the tranny and replace the throw out bearing and lube up the shaft plenty good with a smearing of grease...
Not worth the trouble to shut up a little noise, IMO.

if it is a ceramic clutc it can cause it to squeek when engaging also! Happened to me with my exedy cerametallic. I was tripping too! Hope it works out.
I have the same crappy noise at idle. Sounds like a little "tickytickytickyticky" chirping for me but once I slightly depress the clutch in it shuts up. Nothing to worry about . Figured it was the TOB anyhow. Just make believe your the "golden child" with the parrot following ya if it makes ya feel better.

that sound isn't from lack of lubrication. As you accumulate miles the throw out bearing develops play and it manifests itself as that squeek you describe. i've never heard of it seizing, but next time around it would be a smart move to replace it.
