Rear brake pad install...after installled + tight - handbrake is hella loose...
Hi guys - just finished installing rear brake pads for my 1992 honda civic hatch.
Problem - after installing pads all fine and dandy and all bolts tight - i put both wheels back on and tightend up etc.
Since the handbrake was down ( to let the rear pads come out and cliper move etc) I pulled up the handbrake - and it was VERY loose....
After re-screwing in the pistons , do you have to readjust the handbrake cable too ???
quick answer guys thanks !!!

Well there's no way to adjust the ebrake down by the actual brakes (i think) so yes, take off your armrest and adjust the ebrake at the handle. That should do it. Shoot for 7-9 clicks.

after jumpin back in and bringing brake pressure back online ( via turning on the car) all is good
I pumped the handbrake a few times and it was stiff again.
