This integra that i was trying to fix is not wanting to start. The guy who my friend bought it from said it needed a new fuel pump, so i went to pick up a used one at the yard and the car almost started but not enough to get it up to idle. it started for 10 seconds and i gave it gas and it reved but died, what could this be? i checked for fuel and spark, there is spark but where i checked for fuel nothing came out, i checked where the fuel rail is at right where it sucks vacumm from.

 

does it run and dies everytime you try to start it or did it just do it once and now wont start at all?

spray some carb cleaner in the intake and see if the car cranks up if it does then you definately have a fuel problem.......could be pump, main relay, resistor box, cloged filter, or many other things but shouldn't take ya too long to trace the problem.

 

ya try the fuel filter, and run some seafoam through the gas, and check the main fuel relay, also whats our gass level at????????

 

it turns over and wants to start but dies, and will spray carb cleaner and see what it does.

 

gas level is half full, and will tell the dude to go buy a fuel filter
