Default Time to do a little boasting

UPDATED PICS 4-17-05

Let me know what you guys think about this deal. it being an SI plays an important role in my decision. i just took a look at it in the dark and it looks pretty good. im gonna take another look tomorow in the daylight and hopefully drive it home.

91 civic hatch SI
JDM B16
USDM B17 Trans
salvaged title from theft
small dent
slammed on adjustable springs (may be going back to stock)
best of all the price tag $1700
read em and weep

what do you guys think. this car is replacing my 91 civic lx i dont know if you have seen it.

....uh...no. it wont. if youre at 65mph at like close to 4000rpms then its a gsr, or maybe a b16.lol. does it say YS1?

S1 is either 90-91 teggy LS or JDM B16. Only way to know is to drive it. Tell him to lower the price more since you aren't gettin the infamous GSR YS1 and because you have to get a new hood, lol. Good luck either way.

loose the scoop. get a solid color hood. that tranny isnt a B17 btw. youll know its a B16 when youre at 65mph on the hwy like i mentioned above. nice find all in all. $1700 is a good deal

yea thats a dent on the qp, its a big *** dent but can only be seen from certain angles so it doesnt bother me. and theres no paint damage. the hood scoop is definately hittin the trash as soon as i find a new one. the tranny situation doesnt really bug me. if its a LS i get lower rpms on the highway, if its a jdm trans i get better acceleration. also i tested the distributor today and it tested bad. (no continuity between two wires that the manual said to test.) so a d16a6 distributor ill work fine right?

what happened to "d-series beating you with your old parts?" We should race if you do get it.

correct me if im wrong, but i thought that u couldnt register a car with a salvage title- so would this be strictly a track car then? If so, then why would u go back to stock springs?

you can register a car with a salvage title, but when you register it after a fresh "brand" you have to have it inspected to make sure its not been stripped of a major component thats needed, all in working order.

It would work, but it wont bolt on correctly as the obd-0 b16 one would. Dont cheap out on stuff like that.

the d16 dist did work but it had no adjustability and couldnt be bolted down. i used my brothers distro to move the car into my driveway. right now my bank account is in the negative numbers so im tryin to find the cheapest solution. 180 for a brand new one does sound tempting though.

Mike- yea i picked it up those pics are of it in my driveway. you got an extra distributor from the LS engine u got? we could race but ill be too busy enjoying my Si seats, moonroof and AC to care that your car is faster haha. (ac isnt actually hooked up right now) and the d series thing is still in my sig. because ive still GOT a d series
