Anyone got big brakes on their del Sol SI? I have motegi MR7's in 17". I just want to fill the space around those puny stock rotors.

 

 

If you want to waste a bunch of money on them, feel free. You won't be able to stop any faster than someone with some Integra disk brakes with some good pads. We are limited more by traction than the actual ability to haul down the weight.

Get some cross drilled or slotted rotors, and it'll look just as good as big brakes.

They just tear up pads.

 

yeah, but i think he's going more for the look than the function.

 

i have ebc dempled and slotted rotors and ebc green stuff pads and they work awesome and dont wear any faster than stock. just my .2

 

Don't know if I should be getting into this little spat or not. I have the AEM four piston big brake system on my DOHC Del sol. I noticed a huge difference in braking. Of coarse I also added steel braided brake lines, and a suspension that rivals some race cars, but I like cornering at 90+. To each their own right? Good luck making a decision.

 

Got these for the front:

Civic - 240mm OE Disc 1990-99 Disc HP rotor: 140-6310 SRP rotor: 140-6310-D Hose kit: 220-6419

Now for the rear. Looks like wilwood doesn't make stuff for the rear.

And yea, I'm going for looks on this one.

 

get GSR front or EX spindles and do a Legend caliper and 11.1 inch upgrade.

 

I've already got 12" rotors coming! I can't find a wilwood kit for the rear though. Any ideas?
