Default Used GSR's, Do Miles really matter?

On buying a Used Integra GSR, do how many miles on the car matter? as in a GSR i saw that had 115k miles on it... i know its alot, but acura/hondas last a long time. Whats a decent amount of miles too look for on a car?

I got my gsr w/ 100k on it from a guy in his 40's. It had a greddy evo and was lowered. I'm sure he ripped on it every once and a while but he was just like most of the ppl here and knew how to take care it. It ran perfect when i got it up to 120k. which now im rebuliding for a turbo.

I'd say check it out, drive it, make sure the clutch/tranny are in decent workin order.

What are your plans for the car? If you wanna go faster don't even worry about the mileage. Just think of it as a reason to upgrade

its all on how the car was cared for and your personal judgement. IMO, miles shouldnt count greatly on the purchase.

doesnt matter too much - the owner(s) is what you need to look at

i bought my first car (94 RS teg) with 168k miles from a guy who drive an hour each way to work everyday for 7 years. i drove it until it had 197k and had no problems (stock clutch and stock break pads ) and it being my first car, i beat it pretty good! lol

just bought my new GSR (sig) with 15,800 miles sometimes you get lucky

:knock on wood: for good luck with this one

I <3 Tegs!

well, mileage matters mainly on the suspension and steering componets, and on the motor if its really high mileage

mileage does matter..more mileage = more wear on the motor. just like everything else..the more you use it the more you wear it out. look more at how it was driven and how well (or how bad) it was maintained.

My first GSR was a 94. I bought it with 135,000 miles hoping to get another 50k as it was pretty well maintained. I admit that I did a lot of highway driving, but a spirited (or maybe I should say suicidal) drive through the mountians was a must every Sunday. I ran the **** out of that car, mis shifted to 9500ish twice, and would run for at least half an hour every time wide open - until the brakes faded anyway. After the brakes cooled, I was at it again. I sold the car with 230,000 miles. It uses about 1 quart of oil every 3k, but still runs great and drives like a charm. I think it has 235k on it now because a good friend has it. Who says you can't race and have longevity. Oh, I should mention I'm a maintenence monkey.

Ok, my other thread dissapeard somehow. and ive been looking at the used ls/gs's now because they are cheaper. on cars.com and autotrader they are... like around $8k too much for a 98+? LS/gs/rs? also do miles really matter? all the good ones ive found have had 100-115k miles on them, i mean i found a nice 2000 Integra GS but with 100K MILES, for $7500 obo though... is 7500 too much for an integra like that?
