Default Searched and found nothing Question about trans oil

First off I just bought a brand new factory type-R trans for my 99Civic. I was wondering since its a clutch type LSD what kind of oil do you have to use in it??? I would assume something with a friction modifyer(SP)?? If not should I get redline or royal purple or something? thanks for the input fellas

many people have used or currently use gm syncromesh friction modified. however, there were some debate regarding the compatibility of this transmission fluid in our trannies. you should search as there are many threads discussing this topic.

Wrong -- stock ITR trannies use a gear type LSD, not clutch type. Stock Honda MTF will work fine.

I thought that the USDM LSD's were clutch type and the JDM are gear type???? Or am I backwards?? I was almost positive that the US market ones are a clutch
