ITR insurance in my 60yr old mom's name?
Ok I am getting ready to purchase an R. I would have three years ago but the insurance was crazy high if the car was titled in my name. So I went the swapped hatch route anyways well now it's time and my mom has agreed for me to purchase the car and she will title it in her name. She is 60 yrs old and never had a speeding ticket in her life so if you any of you ITR owners out there good give me an idea off the top of your head of an estimate rate i will really appreciate it thanks
you're 22 years old so i think that the title of the car should be under your name if in fact you are paying for it. 25 is the age that insurance starts to give people a break. you're not too far away mang.

90% kids always end up in Parents plan on the cheapest car so they can drive the expensive one. Insurance company just care as long your name is on the policy somewhere. Anyway your parents paying for your insurance so this is only way to get it cheaper.
Thanks machgo5go,
I am not cheating the insurance company I will be covered under a 1964 galaxie we own that hasn't left our garage in a year.I am going to pay the car note and the insurance payment myself

Flashback!!! This is my current life... lol! My mom barely allows me to drive the S2K! Forget about the ITR! I have to do the dishes to drive the R.
Actually, it is funny, I am about to teach my fiancee how to drive stick on the S.
(clutch is almost gone anyways) Once she learns, I know she is going to want to drive the car all the time!

21st Century has a pretty nice policy covering all family members who don't live in the same household.
Let's say for example my brother lives in a difference house. If he adds my car under his policy (my name not being on the policy), i will still be covered. In addition, adding something like a GSR would only be ~500 for full coverage!
BUTTT, as i learned, once you claim something (your fault or not), you'll be made ineligible for this "perk."

If you're the sole driver of the car, and not insuring it under your name then you are.
If you ever have any problems/accidents with the car - you could have serious problems with insurance down the road.
If you are 'adult' enough to pay for the car, man up and pay for the insurance.

That would be why you insured your car in Double AA's name?

LOL, it would save me a lot of money to use his address for insurance, but definitely not his name!
