My cigarette lighter on my '02 RSX doesnt work. It's not the fuse and i double checked the wiring, it's all connected. The one on the back of the center council for the back seat doesn't work either, I'm not sure if they are both on the same circuit, but if anyone has any idea please help me, I can't use my radar detector.

 

well follow the wire from the connector all way back to the fuse with multimeter. it must break somewhere if at the fuse it's fine and at the lighter it's not.

question: how much did you pay (i'm assuming from Acura) for the lighter/ashtray combo? when i got my 05, they wanted like $175 for everything....obviously didn't get it.

I wouldnt mind having a cigerette lighter. I didnt know they actually made it.

 

i wouldn't mind having one either... it's paying all that money for something that should have just come for free that i mind.

i didnt get one, its just the 12 volt output that can double as a cigarette lighter

 

Last I knew it couldn't double.

 

well either way hes looking for a 12v source for radar not a lighter

 

well, last i knew is that all a cigarette lighter does is completes the circuit in the 12V socket, which inturn creates heat and heats up the cigarette lighter.
