My sisters 5-speed v6 1989 accord kicked the bucket today.

It's sitting on the side of a side street. My dads going to call the junkyard tommorow to junk it.

I have about a day to take all the parts I want off this car before it gets towed.

Is there anything worth saving? I have a 1994 Accord EX automatic and a 1989 CRX Si with a B16... can anyone think of any parts that are interchangeable or would make good backups off the top of their head?

 

5-speed V6... in an '89 Accord?

 

Hm, well I'm positive its a 5-speed. Might be a 1990 not an 89. I'm pretty sure its a V6, I haven't driven it for a while but I remember it felt like a v6. Which year did they release the V6's in accords?

 

the V6 wasn't released until 95 or so... in the 5th gen body style.

If your sister's car has pop-up headlights, it's an 86-89... No pop-up headlights would mean 90-93. (Assuming not a 5th gen...)

I just noticed you said you only have a day to get all the parts off... I really think you would need more time to part out a car enough to make it worth it.
