Default Reving problem, please help!!!!!

i have a d15b sohc vtec. The bitch revs up to 1500 (and sometimes to 2000) and back down to 1000 constantly. Ive tried replacing the map sensor and idle air control valve. Aparently the dude who owned the car before me put a new throttle body with a new throttle positioning sensor on it. Could the iacv or map sensor i put on it be bad? Pls help!

Check ur vaccum lines... (sounds like a leak) on the fire wall is a black canister, check it for leaks.. get some electrical cleaner and spray all ur connections..

sounds like the screw in the IAC backed out. easy fix. take the iac off the car, look at the ports and make sure they are open. if one is blocked then. take of the little metal plate on the back side of it, there will be a plastic screw that holds the internals of the iac together. make sure its screwed down all the way. threadlocker helps
