i wouldn't recommend trying to 'top out' your car on a highway, but i got my car into a old airport runway and topped out at 115ish with I/H/E, and with lots of miles on the motor/almost blown piston ring

this thread is long enought i all ready did this one.

 

Did a top end pull on the dyno with my hatch. Pegged the speedo (125) at about 6500rpm and kept pulling it to about 8000rpm. Think it was going about 140ish when I let out of it. This was in 5th gear btw.

 

125 4th gear z6 head 1.5 block i/h/e si cable tranny

 

115-116 w/b18b w/ xsi tranny

 

116 stock std, fourth gear, WOT. (downhill) on flat ground the thing only does about 85-90....damn d15b1

 

145 with a mildly built all motor b16a, according to the guy in the 300z i was racing with

Damn, 116 in an STD. My all-time high is 105 with my std engine, that was on some HUGE lake in Oviedo (near Orlando) and it was with 93 octane gas and some extra weight in the car, I'm sure I coulda gone faster.

Fastest I have gone with my current setup according to g.p.s. is 130 mph.

 

300 with no motor at all.

Billb from crx-uk did 156mph timed in a comp iirc. It'll be on that forum somewhere.

 

This thread is stupid to begin with, but some of you guys are cracking me up 140mph with a zc let alone with a 4speed gear box from std. Then someone mentioned their speed on a dyno, lol that doesn't count because their virtually no "real" load on the car.

 

The NJ State Trooper that pulled me over today said I was doing 19MPH faster than the posted 65MPH speed limit on route 80 this morning in my 90 CRX DX (That's 84MPH for those mathematically-deprived )

 

100 in my stock std. Top speed after MPFI swap: TBA

Actually i did 100 but it was so windy it pulled me back a lot, you could feel it. Ill do a top speed run as soon as i replace my shot tie rod ends .

Done 220km/h (136mph) at stock CRX. Engine is bone stock, 1.6 Dohc.


Next week i'm gonna get new camshafts what i have been waiting for 5 weeks. And camshafts finish my port & polish head work. Plus the compression is suppressed to 10.


Then i'll maybe try again. :D

run that bitch to top speed if you want, just understand the consequences, and dont do it with other cars around...no point in hurting other inncents if something does go wrong

to answer the question...pegged the speedo and kept going for another 15 seconds or so, it was still pulling, but i had to let off for the approaching turn...

i went 124 at the track but that sorta speeds worries me on the street. fastest on street ive been is 100 for about second when my mom wanted a ride in it.
