your reaction time has nothing to do with your 1/4 time..........its all about your 60ft time.....pay attention to your runs....you made 2.6 first, 2.5 second and then 2.3 ...thats why the last run came out 15.7..........average driver will get 2.2 - 2.1 60ft. You can get a perfect .000 r/t, 2.3 60ft - and dial in 15.7 or you can get .500-.600 r/t and get 2.1 60ft and pull better times then 15.7..........probaly nailed it o 15.4-15.5. SO reaction time dont mean ****...........

Reaction time means a lot when you bracket racing. So why say something stupid like that. Be positive man. Say good reaction time then comment on his 60's. I think your nagging him b/c your own r/t probably sucks.

im not naggin him at all..he's more then likely doing fun runs but of course a good r/t is always a plus but 60ft is the main thing here........im telling him he needs to improve on his 60ft rather then concentrating on r/t. Go post this on the drag racing forum and they tell you the same thing ...its all about 60ft...why do you think they talk about getting 2.2-2.1 street tires and 1.6-1.7 with slicks rather then talking about reaction time........ anybody who goes to the track first time can able to nail .3 - .4 or a perfect r/t.....but again if you 60ft sucks...you cant get the time you want.......you can do a perfect reaction time and do a 2.5 60ft all day and I can do a .500 r/t and pull 2.2 60ft...ill gurantee you that my time will be better....please dont reply on my rt when you probaly have never race at the track.......hell anyone here can race on the street but when you actually race against time, study the light, nervous, its a whole new ball game......
My time like 2 years ago...gsr with i/e with over 200k miles

lower your tire pressure to mid 20's and pump the rear to 40..........motor mounts/inserts, traction bar, some drag radial(nitto 555's or bf goodrich...personally like bf goodrich more from past experience but now have move onto m&h) or baby slicks like m/t 20x6x14's or go m&h 22x8x13's to get more bite, if you have shocks, ajusted the shocks to the hardest and soften up the front, try taking out the seats, remove muffler since your rpm is up there constantly ...may lag on low end but thats where you slicks come in play to grip the low end

in a competition, on a drag track, who ever reaches the end of the track first wins. no matter how fast of a time you got.
r/t matters - depends on your purpose at the track (just for time or a drag race)
