Painting exterior black trim
So here's my 91 CRX

As you can see the black trim along the door and bottom is starting to fade, a lot. What's the best prep/method/paint to use to make it look as it did new. Anyone know from experiance if flat or glossy looks better?
I remember reading about something called "black it out" or something. But hopefully I can get a good answer here.
Thanks!

alot of people are gonna say black out, r black it or whatever that stupid autozone product is, but iam gonna tell you something, you prolly wont believe me but its what i do to my mouldings when they turn white, only every 3 months or so-
go inside your pantry and pull out a jar of peanut butter, a wash cloth, and some rubbing alcohol
take the rubbing alcohol and clean the black mouldings all around the car with it, then take the washcloth and dab peanut butter on it, rub it into the mouldings, carefull not to touch the paint, and let it sit for a second, then get a different cloth and rub it in, like you would if you wax your car, your mouldings will turn gloss black, and wont fade for awhile, plus all the matierials are free haha
i found that information on h-t when i first got on in 02, someone took it off of an old school volkswagon page, its had pics of people doing it so i tried it myself and it worked great
