i have a 90 crx si and where the stock radio should sit it seems there is missing a metal mounting plate...can anyone confirm this for me?? if i were to take my radio out now, there would be an empty hole..should there be a brace/plate of some kind to where you could bolt the radio onto it so it doesn't move around or fall down into the console? thanks...searched already.

 

its a black plastic Single DIN Opening.

the radio comes with the "cage" that you slide in, and bend the tabs down to secure it.

then your radio slides into the cage is held in by the tabs.

the rear screw mount for the factory radio is irrelevant, since your new radio just cages mounts to that opening.
