Default <GSR Owner: Things i miss bout my LS =(

Hey guys I own a 2000 acura integra gsr..just an intake....I used to have a 94 integra LS with basic bolt-ons...Although I love my gsr...I just wanna list some things that I miss about the LS I had...if you guys feel me...jus lemme know..

1. Insurance costs of my LS were wayyyyyyyyyyy lower.....

2. I could cruise at 80 on the highway at 3.5k...

3. 340 miles on a full tank on my LS

4. The hard 1st and 2nd gear pulls...but dont get me wrong..a gsr is just as fast..but my Ls seemed to just feel great those 2 gears..

5. I knew in the back of my head..if i blew up my LS motor i could pick up a low mileage longblock anywhere for jus $600-800..which was a relief, while a gsr is almost $2500...

Some things you guys may think arent right...but some things you might agree with me...but whatever

bottom end is a bottom end...all you need to worry about if fuking up your head..that would be a bitch..

I love my LS...Vtec is the ****, but the way I drive its just asking for a new motor every few months...

1st and 2nd feel nice, But an LS with a B16 feels alot better.

Did you have an LS with a B16 tranny?

To the original poster, what are your plans for the GSR?

The only way I'd own an LS is if it was boosted. I wouldn't trade my GSR for anything else. Not even a type-r.. mainly because I don't live in a fortress, and I'd want to own the car for more than 6 months.

scratch that. big cams will solve all ur problems, VTEC just happens to be the most expensive way to do it. really over-hyped. i think it's really funny that people pay $1000 to eliminate VTEC.

I used to think that when I had an LS. But that all changed when I traded it for a GS-R.

i've taken rides in GS-R's at autoX meets. they're no faster than LS b/c they're so dam peaky about their power. explain how LS guys quicker trannies run just like gs-r's if the precious gs-r is so much better? i mean, it is better, but it doesn't justify the higher pricetag for only 30hp, 1000rpm, and somewhat shorter gearing. switch to 14" wheels and 45-series tires, now LS tranny runs just like a gs-r. as for 30hp, bolt-ons + tuning. and the added torque takes care of the 1000rpm.

my integra came with an LS motor. i swapped that out for a GSR motor of the same year. no complaints here...although i do miss the low-end power the LS has over the GSR. but when i'm really on it, the high-end definitely makes up for the low-end.

the end.
