Default tein coilovers

What's up people? Newbie here. I have a question regarding tein coilovers. I have a '99 hatch with 16" Rota Slips with 205/45 Falken tires and I'm looking to get the "type basic" coilover setup from tein. Does anybody have that suspension setup on their civic, and if you do, would you recommend it? I just didn't know if it was worth it to drop an extra $300 on the SS setup, although it does have more flexibility. I'm using my civic for street use only. Thanks for the feedback.

In my opinion, I'd go for the flex if you can afford it the basic ones i did not like the ride.

The basics are the same as the SS, only difference is that you cannot adjust damper stiffness or softness. If this car is only a daily driver the basics shouldnt be too bad for it. Like someone said tho, maybe do swaybars with the extra $300 and notice the handling difference

I have the Tein basics on my 6th gen accord. The accord is strictly for daily driving; school, work, grocery, etc...

For daily driving, the basics is all you'll need. The comfort isnt to stiff or too soft, just right in between. If you drag or autox, you might want to get the adjustable SS. It also might be a hassle to dial in the right damper settings for a daily driver...I mean how often are you gonna adjust the damper??? It all depends.

good information so far...keep it up. it looks like i'll be going with the basics because it will only be for daily driving. plus i can save myself 300 and use it for other things. anybody else out there that have basics on their civic, please share your experience! thanks!

i have the tein basic kit on my teg. I dont kno if info will help you but my drop is about 1 1/4 all around for basic driving and my car glides against the floor. I think its a good deal if you dont wanna spend that much time and money if you just want good suspesion for daily driving
