The k20a/z1 is the most aggressive cam you can get that honda has made for the k-series. Then comes the k20a2 cams than the tsx. I believe the k20a/a2/z1 and tsx are interchangeable because they use the same ivtec system unlike the k20a3, element, crv and accord. im not 100% sure since i never tried them hope that helps though...

yes they are, i just put in some jdm K R cams into a k24 tsx motor over the weekend, they swapped right in, and the timing chain is cake once you know what your doing. they were much bigger than the tsx cams thats for sure.

Isn't the OEM TSX exhaust cam a little more aggresive than the RSX cams? I think I am going to be running an R intake cam and the TSX exhaust cam in my K24a2.

torque all day long...

the TSX intake ports are not as big as the K20 ports. This is said to help produce some extra torque... Other than the ports and the valvetrain and cams they are the same...

check out K20a.org there is all the info you will ever need...

Oh and teh TSX exhaust cam is the most aggresice OEM exhaust cam...

the Z1 and the JDM ITR cams are the same

yeah they are the same but i was told the spring seats in the TSX head are different, so i order to run aftermarket valvetrain, some modifactions need to be done..... yea let me look for this on k20a.org

Yah soem poeple say you should other have done it without changing out the valvetrain.

I am putting the K20a2 intake cam in my TSX head with teh complete IPS recomended OEm dual valve spring setup. In order to change to the RSX-S valvetrain you do have to change out the spring seats, seals, retainers, and teh springs themselves...

Any cams (even aftermarket) are interchangeable...but i'd watch what I was doing with putting some hotter cams in a K24...they dont get the high revving valvetrain that the K20 does due to the geometry of the larger displacement...so just be safe kids

hate to reopen an old thread, but i gotta do it.
Can you interchange aftermarket cams.
like if toda or jun makes cams for the k20, are they interchangeable with the k24.

like if they make k20 cams, could those same cams be used in a k24?
