Default Good lord....what a PITA

We started about 11:00 this morning and finished tightening the last nut at 5:00. I still have to put the rest of the interior back in though, but all the hard stuff is done. My cheap labor for the day was Nash and Kyle. These guys made it fun, especially the run up to ACE Hardware for the MaD SkIlLs yellow hacksaw blades.

Looks easy enough here...

Cheap labor at work.....I had to feed these guys twice.

Just about done.

Need padding.....soon.

The rest of the install pics..... http://members7.clubphoto.com/john51...00/guest.phtml

Thanks for the tips Karl

I think cutting tubes with a dull hacksaw blade added at least an hour to the install. Then you add the puzzle of which bar end goes where after we drilled the holes didnt help. All in all it was fun but cold damn cold.

i agree 100%, PITA!! well worth the time ! i even had most of the holes drilled from my 4 pt and it still took some time to get the rest in for the front bars.

Can you post some pics of where the cage comes near the passenger seat? How much more difficult would getting in/out be for the passenger?

It's not bad at all really. The forward hoop on the passenger side actually hits the door panel about 2" from the door being fully closed. It presses in the door panel a bit, but the door still closes ok. I thought I marked it well enough to allow for that
clearance.

Passenger side....

Drivers side....

I spent today putting springs and shocks in my civic. Best $110 I ever spent (got the springs from Nash for $70, and the used Jamex shocks from Paul Notrom for $10/ea). Car handles so damn much better now. Now I just gotta decided whether I feel like doing swaybars. :/

We were using a hacksaw blade that had seen MUCH better days... I laughed when I looked at it the last time... teeth, what teeth.

John, we also made two trips away from the project (food & hardware store/food) as well as taking a break to consume the fruits from one of the trips.

Besides that we were having too much fun bitching about the cold and dull blades and the like.

- Nash, who will never doubt the worth of a sharp tool

Probably... Not sure if I'll drive it, though. I might just get my roommate to drive it as a means of transporting the race tires for the NSX.

Also, maybe you guys can answer a question I haven't gotten answered definitely elsewhere... Will front Integra control arms bolt right up on the EG? For that matter, will just the back half of the control arm (that has the swaybar endlink attachment point) bolt up?
