I was wondering... Could i just go to a junk yard and take the head liner and all the sun roof parts off of a 91 Civic si and put it on my dx? Or would it be worth it? I used to hate them, But i have an 86 CR-X Si and damn it sun roofs kick ***!! T.I.A

That would be nice if it were a VW or something, But im looking for more of a stock look... Thanks for your reply though!
I think you would be better off with an aftermarket pop up unit. To use the factory, you would want to swap roof skins and everything from an si. That could get expensive really quick, and there may be an easier way, but that would probably be the BEST way.
There are some power aftermarket sunroofs available, you may want to look into those.
Just have a very reputable shop install it though( around here, most people frown on aftermarket sunroofs, but that may be due to poor instalation ).

I'm not so sure it would do all that. The hole i wanna cut would only be like 1- 1 1\2' x 2-2 1/2'... If you push in where the hole would be, Its kinda loose anyway so it cant be holding too much together. Thanks for your input though, I'll keep that in mind
Take off the WHOLE roof. Remove the headliner and the rain gutter (plastic strips on the roof). You'll see spot weld points where the entire roof assembly comes off in one piece. Grind these down and take the whole roof off the donor car. Then, do the same to your car, fit the roof, get someone to weld it back in (VERY easy to get done at a shop and cheap) and relay some seam sealer. I have a friend who owns a wrecking yard who did this with a 95 hatchback. It looks like it came like original with the roof, where his car had been in a rollover. That's how I'd do it. Remember, HONDA installs the roof in one piece in the same way. HTH, Kerry. (BTW, I might have missed something, but you get the idea).

did the 91 civic si come with a moon roof? thats what i want like in my friends prelude!!! I like having the street lights come in on me on a lonely street
I've got a Hollandia moonroof in my EX that my dad had installed a week after buying the car from the dealer back in 90. The thing has been great, the only two problems it's ever had were a blown fuse (easily replaced) and a worn out switch (which was replaced last year for FREE under the limited lifetime warranty).
I have no idea how much one of them would cost, but I love having it.
