Make sure the Buddy Club logo is at the top when locating tdc. Also they should have marks on them. The exhaust cam gear will have a mark at 3 o'clock and the intake cam gear will have a mark at 9 o'clock. Line those marks together for tdc as well. Also make sure that you don't have them extremely retarded or advanced, for example, like 12 degrees. That should help

Just did my buddy club cam+cam gear install and everything went smooth. Sounds like install error to me, but who knows. I have been known to be wrong once or twice on this earth.

Was this a Napolean Dynamite reference?

In all seriousness, take your time, take a deep breath and do it again til you get it right. The benefits of adj. cam gears are tremendous if you ever plan on getting your vehicle on a dyno.

No other info that you NEED. Just take your time and make sure all your marks are lined up. Its not rocket science, just car science.

Also, just out of curiousit, the buddy club cam gears are zero'ed out, correct? And by that i mean set on '0', no advance, no retard?

Make sure "up" is "up" and there should be two little dimples, similar to the ones on my ***.

Same problem here..there are no markings on the cam gears I recieved. My engine builder degreed everything and I had to make my own markings.

My BC cam gears had NO marking either to identify up or down. Raceline had to line them up wtih the stock cam gears and mark it off that way.

No marks on them, but it's easy enough to line them up at TDC.
