Hail Damage?
Sorry guys, I would have posted under misc. and app. but I'm not authorized.
Are there any ways to get hail damage/small dings out without going to a repair shop? Do you guys now any tricks of the trade to get rid of this kind of damage?

If you have a lot of damage - it will still be rather expensive - but cheaper than repainting the whole car
they also need to be able to get to the back of the panel to push the dent out
some areas of the car (roof) are very hard to access and you might not be able to get a dent removal place to fix it

I thought about going that route with my hail damage but Ive got some other dents/damage that have to be done at a repair shop.
If the hail damage is the only damage you have than paint less dent repair.

refer to my post from almost 3 years ago: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=210204
I never did post back, but I had the paintless dent repair fix it for right under a grand and it came out 99% perfect. I'm sure the thieves who stole it never knew it had so much damage done to it

Hey guys, thanks for all the info posted. I don't want to go the insurance route because that's how I got my JDM front end a year ago, and now with all this hail damage, I don't want my insurance to go up again. The damage that was done, they're only small dings, it can be taken care of with PDR because none of the paint was damaged.
Also does carbon fiber dent? My hood looks like nothing happened to it, yet my fenders, roof, hatch, and sides all have damage.
I also heard that dry ice pops the dents out, but may ruin the paint, is this true? Then someone else told me that the sun can pop the dents out as well, just park the car in a parking lot and the suns heat will evently get out the small dents, is that true?
Thanks again for all the info.

I could only imagine that dry ice would harm the paint, so would using extreme heat...
PDR would be the best way, But if you want to wait for the sun to pop the dents out you might be waiting a really long time
