Default which rear swaybar

The autoX season is fast approaching and I am looking to find tune my setup. I drive a 2000 Si and Im looking for rear sway bar suggestions. Is the CTR 22mm rear swaybar the same as the ITR 22mm rear swaybar?

I was leaning towards the Skunk2 21mm rear swaybar but I have heard that people are ripping out their subframes... ...even with the mugen d-brackets for extra support. I also was going to try the ITR 22mm rear swaybar but have heard similar results even with the mugen brackets. Has anyone heard of any subframe problems with the ITR / CTR 22mm rear sway bar using the new Beaks reinforcement brakets?

The Civic has a weak subframe. Any aftermarket swaybar has the potential to rip out if not installed and reinforced properly. Using stiffer spring will help alleviate the problem.

In that case should I wait to install some custom Ground Control springs (350 / 400) and koni yellows before I install a rear swaybar? Im using Ground Control (street setup) and tokico blues for now.

If you're worried about ripout, then you might want to look at the Comptech swaybar/tiebar combo. Be prepared to pay though...

Though I can't speak for the SI, I have had the ITR sway-bar on my Integra (as you know, Bishop) and have run many auto-x and track sessions with no visible problems that I can see. Is this tear out problem really that common?? I'm thinking that hundreds of people have installed ITR sway-bar's on their Integra/SI's, and how many of them have actually had a problem with the tear-out? Maybe writing one of the people that sell those bracket reinforcement kits (like bsq/beak) and asking them how many people they have heard of doing this, would help.

I have just put the comptech rear bar on my 00cx hatchback. I can confidently say - not one part for my car has ever been nicer. The quality of the kit blows the spoon, mugen, etc tuners away - and the instructions were top notch too!!! Not that much time to see how it handles - I am leaving for a business trip tomorrow, but results to follow when I get back..

unfortunately that seems to be the case. I looked through many achives post at http://www.clubsi.com and found alot of people were ripping their subframe. The beaks kit just came out and works with oem brackets along with the already welded brackets the Si comes with. you know how **** i am when it comes to my car so i wanted to research all my options. btw put your back seat back in. I cant have you wimping out of STS this season.

I just installed a set of Suspesion Tech anti-sway bars a bit ago and I have been very very pleased with their product. Just another option.
