Replacing all steel brake and fuel lines
Whats the best, cheapest way to do this? Buy pre-bent, have em bent, bend them myself? The lines are so rusted that if I move one it will break the other. Got leaks all over. This is on a 95 gsr. One CNY winter did this. Ive never bent steel line but Id be willing to try. Assuming I can get the old ones off, just match them ? Come to think of it the fittings are probably shot on the rubber hoses to. A shop gave me a quote of like $400(lying scumbag). Any advice appreciated.
*Anybody selling aftermarket pre-bent lines like in stainless steel for Integra's?
Contact me if your an HT member.
***Thanks for the responses below. The factory prebent are like $80 to $120 a peice. I have to do everything. The lines are rusted into the clips. A good chunk of snow and ice put massive leaks in every one. I have to look closer but the bracket that the lines come into just in front of the tank, cant I just bypass that with new lines going all the way back?

You can get a tube bender. A lot of hot dor guys have to do custom tubes, so the just bend them all my hard with the little tube bender.
I would check out summit racing, or some other hot rod places.

I just bent all new lines from my MC to prop valve to front 2 lines...bending them by hand is the best way...then again my motor was out of the car and i had all the space to work on it...but i just bought lines from my auto parts store...and got roughly the right lengths...and fit those bad larrys in there
It shouldn't be that hard to do this yourself. Any normal parts store sells all the parts you need: steel hardlines, fittings, and tools. You should be able to rent/borrow the tools from the store. You'll need a tubing bender to make nice bends, and a flaring tool to install the fittings. Note that the brake lines must have the ends double-flared, not single-flared. Do a search on Google for all these terms and you should be able to find some really educational pages.
go to autozone. you can borrow one, put a deposit on it, and when you bring it back, you get ALL your money back. since you won't be doing this again, no need to buy it. they have a brake tubing bender i believe.
Your so much better off just buying the OEM prebent lines. Its going to be such a bitch to bend it perfectly to fit. You also need the ends and a tube flarer.
