Default Camshafts?

Im looking into buying some AEM cam gears and i was just wondering. Is it really important to get camshafts as well or will I be okay stock?

You can use them on stock cams without a problem.

For an itr personally i would go with better than aem cam gears...
Ive heard some horror stories(but u hear these about everything)... but im not sure if their design for the gears are still the same.

and what is ur setup that ur thinking of just cam gears?

AEM isn't the best choice because it only has 3 bolts...

That's what I'm rockin' with no problems at all.

As far as the original posters question. I would try to match up the cam gears with the cams, I you plan on runnin' cams. Stock cams are fine. I chose to run them just to see how much power can be squeezed outta my lil' B18C5 with stock internals when tuned with Hondata.

If your looking for info on what cams to run try a search

cam gears with stock cams = a little bit more power

cam gears with aftermarket cams = even more

my cam gear recommendation = st corsa

Those ST Corsa camgears are super sweet... I love seeing a company that produces products for Ferrari and Lamborghini AND Honda/Acura....

What is the price like on those?

I bought a set from http://www.hogens.com (member here) for under $180.

The quality and design are top-notch.
