Vtec and Turbo ?Overkill?
Im in the market for a used 92-96 lude. Now i wanted to build up the h22 slap a turbo on there and be on my way . But i cant find a good price on a lude with an h22 already in it , that has good mileage condition etc etc.. And im not going to buy an h22 and drop it in there...So my question is when i buy my lude with the h23 in there should i get an h22 head build it up and put on the turbo OR just build up the h23 and then slap the turbo on????

Go find a 92 s model, extremely cheap on insurance, get a jdm h22 w/lsd, turbo it, and tune tune tune! I think this is probally going to be the best route. My 95vtec made about 280whp on the drag kit, and trust me that is more then enough power for the streets.
I dont really feel like dropping all that money on getting another engine shipped out here. Plus building that engine up and then getting a turbo...instead of just building the engine up and slappin a turbo on.....So what do you think about boosting a h23 vtec compared to boosting the h23 non vtec
Cetris Peribus* (for those who've taken Econ haha), the vtec motor will make more power than the non-vtec. It's not overkill really, sounds mean and makes more power what more could you ask for? haha Just buy some lower compression pistons.

lots of slappin going on here... you can't just slap a turbo on and be on your way, it's slightly more involved than that
I've seen quite a few turbo'd H23's making good power, plus they are already lower compression than an H22

I mean....i like slapping things....but seriously i know i cant just slap on a turbo...and my hp from this setup....well i want as much as i can get but i deffinetly wanna be over 3........Im trying to find the most cost effective way to have a fast prelude.......i really wanted the h22......anyone know what it would cost to have one rebuilt??
no need to really build the h22. run lower boost since u have the higher compression.
if you don't like that option, put a thicker head gasket on there crank up the boost and get a good tune ASAP
stock blocks are fine long as u have a decent tune on there
