anyones turbo not spin at idle?
mine doesnt, its a brand new sc44, yes it has oil, yes i did oil the turbo before i started the car. -3 feed line -10 return. If i give it a little throttle it will spin.
this is on a 9:1 compression lsvtec

i had a drag on my stock b16a.....it didnt spin at idle...iunno if thats suppose to b good or not but mine didnt spin 'til i gave it a LIL gas

Yah, mine doesn't spin at idle until I give it a little throttle. I don't think that's a problem at all. 
However, once I do give it some throttle, it will spin for a little while at idle.

Well, as long as it is getting oil, and you said it spins up as soon as you give it a little throttle, there isn't a problem.
If you want it to spin at idle, get a smaller housing or smaller turbine wheel.

I have a b18c1 and a sc61 and mine spins at idle? I guess there would be no problem if theres no smoke and and its getting oil... and it spools when needed!

actually my friends said it was supposed to spin at idle when i first showed them. they thought it was hella weird that it didnt. o well.

alot of things determine if a turbo spins at idle, basicly its not spinning because there isn't enough exhaust gas and heat created to turn the turbine. I'd be interested to see if the people's that spins if they have a cast manifold vs a tubular manifold. well and to see what thier idle was set at. with my idle at 870rpms, my turbo always spun (t3/t4oe 60 trim, stg 5) hopefully once i get my new manifold, i can see if the gt35e will spin or not.
but manifold, timing of the engine, engine temp all play into if the turbo spins.
either way, nothing is being damaged either way.

i have a revhard h23 mani that is kinda a log and my car idle below 1k i know for sure and it spins. it's just a matter of turbo/mani, and how much exhaust gas your car is putting out.
