Figure out if we have a seat for you. But if you can fly into Midway.. it can be pretty cheap. And its a closer caravan

Chicago caravan is most likely leaving thursday... not sure how that works into your plans.

GBO = correct
lots of people drive up to GBO (a little over an hour) and fly out of there (vs. CLT) to save some money...

Delta has the only non-stops for RDU, starting at $168

I can also go from Tampa, to Chicago, drink with Chris N, then to RDU for $149.

You can fly to the Tri-Cities regional airport in Johnson City and ride out in the SE caravan. Then again that's what you'd be doing with the NC folks, but this airport might be cheaper.
