Default semi OT: home invasion and car theft (M3) in seattle

hey seattle guys...

we all know how stupid theft is in our area. well, it just keeps getting better. home invasion of a guy in seattle, tied up and left in his parents' bedroom, car stolen. guy came up to his house looking for a lug wrench before returning with a gun.

maybe you've read the story of the S4 owner who similarly had thieves approach his house. and some members on here have reported people coming to their doors for some 'house cleaning' services or breaking into garages etc.

it's a scary place out there. keep 'em safe, but remember, a car isn't worth your life.

The cops should have just shot him and his slimeball gf in head and called it a night.

Done.

Time to get into home security systems

Time to get home alarms that give you an x number of seconds to disarm your home alarm. if you don't, here comes the heat.

-aoib0t, who is a security nut.

Probably some freaking tweakers. The guy looks like W.T. based on the video anyway.

I'd hate to see some POS invade my home. My dogs would tear him apart. They don't take kindly to people threatening me or my loved ones.

And if there's anything left of him then it'll be time to crack out the katana or revert to more firepower.

Too bad people can't just work and earn what they have -- always trying to take a shortcut to the top.

even if he were outside supervising the robber using a wrench, they still have a GUN. he didn't ask them to bring out the gun did he? regardless, this kind of stuff is scary. seattle really needs to crack down on car thefts.

Wow!!! The audacity of some people.

A few years ago, an S2000 owner (S2Ki.com member) in Toronto was also a victim of home invasion. Unfortunately, his wife was home. They not only stole personal belongings (which included an E46 M3 and the S2000), but they also raped his wife in front of him.

right? like when people steal small stuff like seats..or rims. or when they break into a home at night or while the owners are on vacation i understand. they're being cowardly theifs. but to invade a home and have them at gunpoint with nothing specific that they're looking for is so wrong. what were they gonna do with the car anyway? not like you can just drive it around.

This can happen to anyone , just because he drives a BMW does not justify that the theif is after that certain type of vehicle. It's clear they where just plain criminals and happen to like nice cars.
