Safe compression #'s to use nitrous on

What would be a safe cr to run nitrous on with 91 octane pump gas? I really hate detonation!

go to forced induction. But i would say around 11.5

I run 11:1 with good sized cams no problem. Just be sure to retard your timing with the lower octane....
