Default Omni power suspension

Im interested in buying the omni fullcoilover setup but was wondering which set up to go with? The street or sport package? Also what is the conversion for the rates in lbs? Im looking for a good stiff suspension that can be tolerated for daily driving and good on turns. Thanks in advance.

I know a few people rocking the Sports on their daily drivers and they're fine. Ben Ho actually swapped the front and rear springs and it handles particularly well.

i have the street, and it is very very stiff. it's great for cornering, but sucks for driving people around, especially girls. they are like, "what is wrong with your car?" lol

Nice , thanks for the feedback. What springs did your friend switch out with? Lets get some more feedback and some pics if possible.

i have the sports and yes they are stiff (12k/10k) but they are fine for daily driving. Its nothing that will annoy you. After a while, u wont even notice the sitffer ride. But the sports do handle well and i would recommend getting the sports. Unless u really want a better ride with some good handling, get the street (8k/10k). As for the drag coilovers, those are incredibly stiff and your car will probably riding worse then some ebay dropzone coilovers.

I have the streets and am pretty happy with the outcome. They are stiff and hadle great and most the girls I drive don't mind it, well untill we hit a nice bump and their bottems hop out the seat a tad

I also have the sports, and it is a bit harsh on the street, but still bearable. I still wouldn't want to drive my parents or grandparents in my car, but the handling is superb! Plus it helped me a lot on wheel hop on my launching, but also the motor mount inserts might've helped too. My gf doesn't complain because well, her crx use to have weapon r coilovers on them, so she's used to the ride.

I would suggest gettin the sports because 10k/8k is too *****!

????????? Umm.....dont ever put omnipower and dropzone in the same sentence again ......if these drag coilovers rode like dropzone coilovers, titan wouldnt have used them in their 9 second supra.....and the ride with the drag coilovers isnt as harsh as everyone makes it seem....

dropzone compared to omni? I think you have bouncy cheap coilover ride mistaken with stiff/harsh ride. There is a diff. As far as the suspension goes, anyone have any pics of the ride height adjustability?

That's the lowest setting for the rear while keeping preload.

Since it wasn't even with the front, i evened it out to look like this:

The front is at the lowest sitting while keeping preload, and the rear is raised up a bit.

hey everyone, i myself was interested in the sports package. seen this suspension used in some very respectable cars. my question is, are the struts adjustable? if so how many ways? 5-10-15? your help would be greatly appreciated since some of you are already running it and have first hand experience. thanks!

struts are not adjustable. Only thing adjustable is the height.

this is weird, every post i read about the omi coilovers, the rear always sat lower then the front. now when i installed mines while keeping the preload and going as low as i can go, the rear was higher then the front. the front dropped perfectly, just the way i liked it. barely any gap between the fender and tire. now i have these on my 4/dr teg, i'm not sure if that would make a difference.

Sports aren't even harsh. They ride quite nice.

Did you preload them?

Sorry for all the questions, but when you say "this is the lowest while keeping it preloaded" what do you mean?

And also , the lowest ride height isnt really that low... Im currently on GC's and kyb's , on the lowest setting the rear is about the same maybe a little lower. But anyways im guessing this has to do with the preloading, so still wondering what that means.

The is low enough on the lowest setting. If you want, you don't have to preload it, and you can slam the **** out of your ride. However, it wouldn't be wise since ride comfort would be compromised.

Search for preload. I believe there are 5 other threads that regard preloading.

Thats exactly what i dont get...How is it possible to "slam" the **** out of it if you dont preload? I just want to know what preloading is.
