Default squeaking noise from rear while going over rocky roads

i need help in diagnosing a squeaking noise coming from passenger rear. you only hear it when going over bumps or rocky roads. squeaky noise is low to mild sound when ur in the cabin. recently replaced all 4 tires and had a tuneup and wheel alignment done because it was pulling to the right a little bit and still does that now. Is it suspension or what else? thanx

someone told me it was only "free play in the shocks" from being lowered with the factory shocks. but im skeptical

my car is bone stock though. i didn't lower anything on mines. until recently i've never heard of the squeaks and have owned it since 87,xxx miles and now has 128,xxx. so that rules out "free play in the shocks". why would honda create a car knowing that it pulls a little to the right without fixing it. i will take it to the dealership for inspection of the rear. they check the front suspension and said it was fine.

You had squeaking before the tires/alignment right ? My stock 97 EX does the same thing. I suspect sway bar bushings. Maybe some silcone spray ?

the squeaking started after i replaced all 4 tires because of flats and the pulling has always been that way since i bought it at 87,xxx.

I had the same problem. Turned out to be the roof lining.. took me FOREVER to find the source of the noise.

I hope that's all it is for you guys..

cheers

i doubt it dreamyhonda, this noise is clearly coming from the vicinity of the rear passenger. i don't think it has anything to do with the roof. besides the roof lining is rubber or hard plastic and can't possibly make squeaky sound.

What kind of squeaky sound is it.. is it a metallic creaking or squeaky sound or some sort of rubbing or more of a low groan? Maybe have a passenger in the back try and find the noise...

You could take out the back seat and that should help you find the noise.

it's definitely metallic sounding squeak. it goes "squeaky, squeaky, squeaky" everytime i go over bumps or drive on cobblestone. i don't have time searching for the problem myself, i'll take it in for an inspection.
