This means I am not the only person over 12 still putting together models occasionally
. I am actually painting and assembling mine at home as we speak. The details are really nice, but my painting skills need a bit of improvement yet.

D@mnit Spunkster... why'd you have to post this?!?! I couldn't resist and got a CW ITR and THEN I had to search around, find a Skyline and order that too. $29 later and I'm a happy man! Good post!
They'll go nicely with my Revel ITR model that I built and painted red (with C/F hood) to match my car!
BTW... where is this company located/where are my models being shipped from? Just wondering how long they're gonna take to get here!

I dont know the quality of the items you got... i got my motormax diecast in CW and the quality is HORRRRIBLE. I hope they all arent like this, cuz there will be a lot of disapointed customers.

I definately want one. I was interesting in the Revell one but i wasn't going to put together my own. I'd rather the straight out made diecast.
Lets hear some feedback on the quality of these.

First off - Be very careful even holding the thing. Especially taking it out of the box. You need a really good screwdriver to get the plastic mount off the bottom of the car. While doing this, be careful of the side mirrors.
Speaking of mirrors, DO NOT try to move them. I made the mistake of thinking it was a little loose. Wrong. It's just crap quality. I broke the damn side mirror off the passenger side, glued it back on the best I could.
Next, be real careful with the wheels.... they are very loose and want to fall off. As well, the ones on my car are glued on crooked, so the car teeters between the left front and right rear tires. All you have to do is touch it and it teeters. Neat huh? Sometimes it will teeter the front left all the way off the dresser so it appears to be in 3 wheel motion! Even neater huh?
Now we move on to the paint. I won't say to much other than the spoiler is showing yellow from underneath the white. I picked a little off with my fingernail around the hood area. And the front bumper has a nice long paint run in it. The valve cover is only half painted and the underhood in general couldn't be anymore off as far as realism goes. Looks as if a 5 year old painted the thing.
Now for the final blemishes.... The wheels are of course gunmetal on the yellow ones, as I can see from the pictures. They are gunmetal on the white one too. The "USDM" model features Red recaro lookalikes and a rectangular tag box front and rear. Speaking of tag boxes.... DO NOT touch the stickers in said tag boxes...they will fall off in your hands. Careful when picking it up, the body wants to seperate from the plastic lower half, not attatched very well.
Something good to say you ask?
Well the only thing even close to right is the dashboard. Not so much the nice sticker they put in there to simulate the gauges, but the vents, and radio portion is pretty close. Other than that, nothing else really good to say about it.
So thats it. Take my little write up for what its worth, but all in all, for the money....I'd say don't bother. But I know everyone will do as I did and throw their 10-15 bucks at the thing. Wait 3-5 days for it to come, open it and be damn disappointed at the whole thing.

I got the Revell kit, and lovingly and painstakingly put it together in CW .... they give you three sets of wheels, three wings, and other rice goodies to put on.
Because I was too lazy to paint the tails the right colors .... mine looks like it has Altezzas .....
But I DID do the red stitching on the seats, and sort of detailed the engine!!

id liek a JDM die cast model. But it has to be 1/18th scale. I now added an NSX, RX7, Escalde, DB7, Super Stallion to the current, S2K, 68 Cuda, F50 and F40. They all are 1/18th scale and Id like to keep it that way.

Here ya go! I dunno if they are any better than the one I recieved, but I would have to guess that they would be. Anyway! Check these out. http://www.ebbro.com/WEB.htm Look for the 1972 Civic Model! Pretty Sweet.
