Default cotter pin?

Is there a specific size for cotter pins? I'm referring to the cotter pin for the lower ball joint. Would Kragen or AutoZone have them?

nah, I just ones that fit (the largest that fit)
I bought a big box of em at the hardware store.

Dont be like this fool ^ and reuse the old ones......
Any autoparts store will have them too (should). But a big box is cheaper at the hardware store/Ho Depot

Home Depot's site lists brass pins, are those usable on suspension components? It was a box of 10 for like 2.49

Weird. I was just there last week and they had a huge box for $3. Not brass.

If I were you, I'd go with the reusable ones. I can't remember what they're called, but they're shaped like a D instead of the one that you bend into shape. I used to use them on my gokart all the time.

I believe you're talking about a hitchpin (one side is straight, the other side has a wave in it. You put the straight side through the hole and the other around the bolt). They also work just fine. Those are sized though... make sure you buy one thats big enough to close when you pop it in.
