anyone using omnipower drag combo coilovers?
i got the drag combo kit, 12k front/18k rear. im trapping 120 mph but my et is 12.0?'s. i had the front the lowest it could go with the slicks mounted on, and i had the rear the highest i could get them. my car with me weighs about 2350. im spinning big time but my 60' is 1.8 sec. using mh 24.5/8/13 with weld racelites 13/8. should i lower the rear of the car? i know 120mph is good for mid 11's.
any help is appreaciated. thank you.

i was thinking of going that route, with limits straps and/or traction bars. but first i wanted to see why im having such bad traction problems for only 14 psi. i heat the heck out of the slicks.
does anyone else use this suspension setup?

I just got mine today. They are the same 18k rear and 12k fronts. It will be a week or so before I can get the car tuned so I can let you know then. What tire pressure are you running?
i was running 10 lbs to start with and i was spinning 1-3 gears, then i lowered it to 8.5 and no change, so i tried 7 lbs and im still spinning.
with 7lbs. it sure took off very quickly. but still spun very bad in 2-3 gears. im also going to balance the corner weight of the car. hopefully this will help.
Another thing...how old are the slicks? I had a set that layed around for a while and they dried out. I tried to use them and I had the same problem.

i bought them brand new last year and only put two runs on them last season towards the end of the season then got kicked out for no roll bar, now with the new lighter car, they only have 3 runs, so 5 runs all together. they were in my closet all winter, not out in the garage or outside. so at room temp all winter long, i figured that would be the best for them.
hows your alignment?
other than that try to run a little less tire pressure..once it hooks you should lose a few mph but gain the et your looking for..

i got an alignment right after i installed the suspension. after i balance the weight at the corners, ill mess with lower tire pressure again. what about the ride height of the car, like should the rear be higher or lower than the front with this suspension? should the front be as low as possible with the slicks mounted on the car?
oh yeah i also have a quaife, which makes me more pissed about this.

the thing that gets me thinking and concerned is last summer, i had a 99 si 2600 lbs. same exact set up and i ran a 11.8 at 120 mph and i was spinning pretty bad also. i figured this lighter car would be faster.
will someone point me in the right direction on how to adjust the suspension itself, heightwise? thank you. ive heard both ways, rear end raised, rear end low as it could go. is their opinions on this or facts? thank you very much.

14psi might be too much power for 1st gear. 7psi should be good in the tires. What launch rpm are you using?
As for the omnipower drag coilover, check out the Rage car I believe 10.0 @ 136 so they musta worked decent!

oh i know the suspension is a great setup, just still messing with the tire pressure and adjustment of it. i am running 14 psi of boost. and 7 psi of air in the tires. i am launching at 7k-7.5k rpm and it takes off the line good, 1.8 60' ft times all the time. but once i shift into second and third its just spinning. i just mainly wasnt sure about the height of the car and how it should be with the adjustable suspension
i agree 14 psi is too much for 1st gear. but just wondering what i could do to work with what i got.

Yea try lower tire pressure, its all personal preference on what tire pressure works for what. Just experiement until you get that desired Time in the 1320.
definetly go a little lower in the tire pressure. I usually run about 6-7 psi, and should probably go a tad lower, but I"m still running stock axles and I'm okay with a little tire spin.
How about stepping up to a 25" slick.

yeah when its time for some new slicks, ill will get taller ones, i guess. now should i raise the rear of the car or lower the rear of the car, or does it even matter with the stiff suspension?

There really is no magic to it. Just lower it as much as possible to keep the CG low but not too low that it rubs the tires. Also, the omni's allow you to set the ride height w/ out compressing the shock so first preload the coilover(instruction how should be included in ur box) and then set the ride height using the collars only.

it will hole the face of the tire on the pavment
