Default Cold outside = problems shifting

It was snowing outside today and while I was driving around, it suddenly felt like someone poured mud into the transmission--my shifter felt very stiff. Then, I backed out of a driveway, and I couldn't get it out of reverse. I finally had to just yank it out of there. And this was while the car was warmed up already. I read a few posts on here with people who had similar problems. They suggested changing the oil (which I did last Saturday, with Honda MTF), and that was pretty much it. Any other suggestions?

Same here, when my tranny is cold it's pretty stiff, even with new MTF.

Do you have an aftermarket short shifter? I heard that might be the cause of the problem. Had the same problem and posted and remember people telling me the change back to stock and the problem should be fixed, but I haven't driven it all winter so...

Same here... but what bothers me is that he said he was driving around, and it happened all of a sudden.

Actually, I do have a short-shifter. However, I really don't see how that could be the problem.

Also, I should also clarify that my shifter went into "sloth-mode" when snow actually started accumulating on the ground. I don't know if that has anything to do with it, though...
