Default Questions on putting GSR girdle and other parts into LS Block

Would this work? I want to use GSR main caps and put them into a LS block. Then the stock GSR girdle would work correct? Arnt the GSR and LS mains the same size? I also want to renotch the mains and rods for GSR bearings. So will using the GSR main caps make it any easier to install the girdle and should and can I renotch the rods and mains for GSR bearings? Thanks for your help. Jay

See I've been wondering this myself... everyone says you should use the main caps that came with the block, or have i align honed if you change main caps.

I'm interested what others have to say...

when I had an ITR girdle put on my B20, I had the stock main caps machined to fit the girdle...

also worth mentioning you're going to need a new oil pickup, windage tray and oil pan... (from a gsr)

How much in machine work did it cost you to have it installed?.
