'Teg ECU w/ New Cam?
Should I go ahead and upgrade to an 89 Teg ECU when I install my new cam? I know the 'Teg ECU has more aggressive fuel maps and such, so I'm thinking it would go good with the more aggressive cam....Yes, no? Any insight on this?
other alternative is chipping, I offer DIY kits which will defiantly improve the performance, such as ZC program, Mugen N1 ZC or others, it only works on the 90-1 ECU only (PM6)
The teg ecu will be fine with your new cam. The increased fuel will be a benefit with the cam. As for the teg ecu eating distributors; I have heard about it but I have not had any experience with it. I used a zc ecu when I had my zc swap.
Are you running an Si engine d16a6? or do you have the ZC...
I ran the JDM DOHC ZC ECU with my Si engine for 1 month, and it ran very aggressive, bit scary, but nice. Not sure if it was safe, cause it had diff fuel maps, not made for the SOHC Si.
My ZC DOHC runs well now with the JDM ECU.

how can an ecu "eat" a distributor? rule of thumb is use the distributor that matches to the ecu..but of course there are exceptions
im running a fairly high compression (tested about 270psi on all 4 cylinders) d16z6 w/pg7 ecu and it does run it very very rich. i should prolyl go back to my pm6.

I'm actually running the D15B2 w/ MPFI, I/H/E. I'll try to get my hands on a Teg ECU, but I'm still having trouble deciding which cam to go with (Gude, Web, or Crane). I'm thinking Gude though.
from an email GUDE performance has sent to me
