Default Banjo bolt on fuel filter leaks

I change my fuel filter and now i'm having leakage problems. I have the washer on it which is suppose to keep it from leaking gas, but it still leaks. Has anyone else have this problem?

I replaced two fuel filters on Accords, one on my 95 and one on a friends. Neither of them leaked. When you replaced it, did you use new crush washers? Not saying thats deffinately your problem but it's a place to start.

That might be my problem. I reused the washer from my old filter. I don't know what I did with the washers that came with the new filter. I didn't know it made that big of a difference using the washers that came with the new filter.

I don't know how big of a difference it makes but I know I used the new washers. I use a new washer on the drain bolt for the oil everytime I replace the oil. I figure for the extra $.20 or whatever those washers cost it's worth it.

Did you use a Honda Filter? I got a filter at Pep Boys thinking a filter is a filter and it leaked all over, no matter what I did, went to Honda bought one there and it didn't leak.

Probably replaced the crush washers. They are meant for 1 time only use, it crushes when torqued. You can get away with reusing them a couple of times on your oil pan drain plug with little leakage, but they should never be reused on fuel system or trans. lines. Really shouldn't even reuse the drain plug washer.
