aux input question......
alright guys im a dipshit when it comes to audio, so maybe you can help me out.
i just got an ipod and i want to hook it up in my car without using an fm transmitter. ive been needing a new head unit anyways, so im oging to get one. i odnt really care aobut having to control the music from my ipod when driving, so im just gonna go the aux input route. ive noticed some head units have the small input on the front, and other have it on the back. im thinking about getting this head unit.......

notice how it says "optional aux input (adapter required)"
well heres the adapter

now, i dont know what an aux input looks like when its on the back. is it that one single plugged end that plugs into it, or is it those rca's? im assuming its the single end, but then that leaves the rca's. so then, would i use this......

and then plug the red and white into the red and white from the other adapter, and then plug the black into the ipod?
looking at it again, would it be possible to just get the 5 dollar y adapter and plug the red and white directly into tjhe back of the head unit? or is that niot possible.
sorry to make this so complicated, hopefully someone can give me a quick answer
