New springs are noisey!
I got some new neuspeed race springs and they are quite noisey over every minor road imperfection. I do have stock shocks, and am in the process of getting new ones, so I know that will help. But I read somewhere about wraping the bottom few coils with silicone. Does anyone know what i'm talking about or what type of product would help out this noise?

neuspeed race has inactive coils in return make noises to me i think its no big deal but can be rather annoyin sometimes.. to add another thing i suggest new shocks the koni sp3s are super nice and pricy but worth it ...stock ones wont hold up long with the drop.. also a camber kit.. this may not help the noise but just suggestions
I am planning on getting new shocks and I have a camber kit. The springs just seem to chatter as I drive down the road. I saw somebody use one of those plastic wire looms around several of the coils. Any other suggestions?

This is why we tube the progressive coils on our Pro-Kit and sportline units.

Please explain exactly what you are talking about? Tube? Is this something that comes with the springs or you added on later. I appologize for not being so wealthy that I can afford to drop loads of money on such kits.

We basically put a poly tubing over coils that may touch and cause the noise you are describing.
Our Pro-Kit and/or Sportline would be about the same price as your Neuspeed kit (we could be a little more).

looking at how many "dead" coils neuspeed uses in its design, i can see why there would be a lot of metal-metal contact noise. but i think using some kind of tubing or spacer would increase the ride height as well. maybe not a bad idea, just a consideration. heck, use it to your advantage to set your ride hieghts even....

Im not sure how well this would work but perhaps you could spray on some kind of rubberized coating on the coils, something like spray on beadliner. It might be easier than trying to slip rubber tubing down the spring.
