Is this a stock part?
Is it some sort of brace? Ive seen it on two motor pics tonight, and I know my car does not have it. Wondering if I should worry about getting it if its a stock piece.

It is a stock piece and very necessary if utilizing your stock airbox or comptech ice box. Otherwise I don't see it being detrimental to your "R's" well being

but yea it is a stock mount, for the stock airbox unit.. you can unbolt it if you would like, since you already have an aftermarket substitute..

When I first looked at the photo, I had assumed he was talking about the part that he had circled in red. I didn't realize that he was talking about the PasswordJDM strut bar. Thanks for pointing that out!
