pumping 91 vpower for my gsr 2.54/gal baby suck *****. my friend worked there before. He said v-power is cleaner than 91 shell gas before
I pay $2.63 a gallon! I f*ckin hate it...
I was a big fan of Chevron... but for some reason I get a better response with V-power...
Also a full tank of V-power will last me 7 days driving 60 miles a day compared to Chevron filling up every 5 days....
Gas prices are a bitch in cali...

I tried Cheveron...Mobil....and then finally switched over to Shell V-Power! For Some reason my car responds alot better to Shell. Vtec Crossover is smoother and louder...I also get a lil better gas mileage
Allow me to answer. No, its not really worth the hype. It means its a little better than "regular" gas. It is better because it has extra cleaning additives. Do you have a gas station called QuikTrip? In atlanta, thats the cheapest AND better than shell. It uses so much cleaning additives that after 100k miles on my fuel filter, the banjo bolt looked brand new. QT's gas is by far the best, and also meets what is called a "top tier" standard, meaning its great; it has a lot of detergents, and is a much better quality. Plus it just happens to be the cheapest here all the time. check http://www.toptiergas.com and remember that this gas is actually made for Honda, Toyota, GM, and BMW, as they set the standards.
Sorry to whine, but this is the truth. If you have QuikTrip, use it. Shell is good, but ive tried both, and QT wins.

I've wanted to try the v-power but haven't been able to swallow the 2.47 for gas. But maybe i will, the better gas mileage sounds appealing
. I'm 1/2 way down, so why not fill 'er up next time.

So whats the difference with different gas stations gas? I honestly don't know. I personally use Holidays 93 octane. I picked it up this weekend for 2.25/gallon. Not bad compared to Cali and New York. So whats the difference btween what I use and say v-power from shell?? I tried quik trip a few times and didnt like it. I lost gas mileage and seem to get the best with 93 at holiday. Someone please inform me

It's about the same here in my part of Washington. Just a few months ago the V-Power was around 2.2X.
So from your guys' personal usage, the V-Power gas is better than the other gases from shell?

Use whatever gas is recommended for your car. The Integra GS-R and Integra Type R both recommend premium fuel (91 octane or higher) and that's what you should use. Although you can use lower octane than that without harming your engine, it will change your timing and you won't get as much power with lower octane gas.
I'm pretty sure that all other Integras recommend only regular fuel (87 octane or higher), in which case you won't benefit from the higher octane of the V-Power premium gas.

i think the v-power fuel works better only in cars that have v-tec. hahahahahaha.... hence why they call it v-power. thank you
i use any gas station that has 93+ octane gas with a rating of 8+. i guess for a turbo car all that really matters is that the octane level is high and the gas isn't watered down.
soon...hopefully in a month of two, plan on installing propane injection system into my boosted teg and run 89~91 octane fuel to save a bit of money. with the propane injection system, i should bump the octane up to 110 or so when i need it most...during boost.

please dont flame me but i think we have it good here in the united states. I saw a special on cnn and the United states has one of the cheapest gas prices in all of the world! I think people in the Phillipines pay over 6.00 a gallon. Im just glad i dont have to pay for that..lol.
But anyway i go to speedway and get the 91 oct for gsr. Out of mobil, clark, and citgo; speedway gives me best mpg. I dont have shell near me so i dont even both with the v-power stuff.
