Question about removing side molding
im clueless about removing side molding because ive never done it before.
When i bought the car the previous owner already removed the rear side molding, but left the door and fender side molding there. I dont know why..

I doubt ill do a good job with it so im asking how much would it cost to remove it and repaint it and stuff. Around what price range, my friend said it would cost like over 1k.

You want the molding shaved, paint, and everything. Then your friend is pretty close to the price. It cost alot to do custom stuff like that by shops. Call around. Or you could do little by little yourself then send it off to earl shine.
i dont think it will cost a grand but at least 300-400....this is just for covering up the sidemolding mounting holes and having them painted. I would remove the sidemolding myself so the bodyshop doesnt charge you for 50 bux for 5 minutes work. If you decide to have the sides shaved then it will definitely be more.

I agree, just call around and find out what's up. I mean, the moldings will come right out but some of the stuck-o crap isn't really the best to stick in there. Find out what's good in the shops around you though.
