OK guys a Maxbore gsr TB vs stock gsr how much hp after tuneing?
Depends on your motor mods. How bad is your current TB choking your motor. On a built 2 liter motor- maybe 7-10hp. On a bolt on type stock motor 1-2 hp if any at all.
1.8 moderate build
got some oil burning (1 quart every 2k)problems had good Ring gaps during build have you guys had any problems like this.

How did you go about breaking the motor in? And what grit stone was used by your machine shop for the finish hone.
kept it out of vtec for 2k, then dipped into it but not abusive I don't think but these things were not designed to go 8500+ so I was just wondering if it was a regular thing. I am probably not going to pull the motor unless it gets bad.
The car runs a little cold so it might be then that its burning but I am not sure cause its not allot.

If you beat on it frequently at 8,500rpms+ then its GOING to use some oil. Period. Do a search on it, you will find the R owners have the same "problem". Honda released a bulletin on it stating it was "normal" for the DOHC Vtec engines to consume some oil with extended high rpm use.
